Hi, my name is Ljubica, I am 11 years old and I have been eating Miracle Noodles for 3 years now. I live in the Yukon, which is in Northern Canada.
I have a type of epilepsy called Doose Syndrome and drugs didn’t work to control my seizures. I could have 30 small seizures just while eating my breakfast! They were all day long and worse at night. It was a drag. This start when I was three and a half years old. The drugs we tried also really made me feel tired and sometimes mad for no particular reason.
I am only allowed to eat less than 15 g of carbs per day. Each of my three meals has about 4 grams of carbohydrates. That means five years ago I stopped eating pasta, breads, cake, well, anything with sugar - so lots of things. The diet is super restrictive and complex. I missed eating pasta when my family would make pasta meals. It was hard. They stopped eating pasta meals, too.
Three years ago, our dietician, MaryAnn emailed us information about Miracle Noodles. I love them. And, so do my two brothers, but they don’t get to eat them, it is part of my special diet foods so they are off limits to them. I do sometimes let them have the noodles but it is nice to have something for me that is so special!
I have a lot of neat, somewhat normal looking meals now thanks to Miracle Noodles. I have not had a seizure in about four and a half years. The diet truly sucks but the noodles really make it better.
