I had recently moved to Hong Kong from sunny Los Angeles and was constantly indulging in all kinds of different foods: lots of wine, and SO many carbs—I’m talking stir-fried rice, fried noodles, noodle soup, basically every type of rice and noodle you can think of! Soon enough I found that I had gained 15 pounds and was desperate to get back to my old self, but without sacrificing my desire to cook and to take advantage of all the interesting ingredients and flavours around me.
I got into cooking through my love of food and travel—this might sound a bit cliché, but it’s the truth! Whether dining at a local restaurant or getting my first taste of a local dish in a new city or country, recreating dishes in my own kitchen inspires me to cook.
Miracle Noodle has enabled me to enjoy all my favourite meals in a healthy way and get back to my happy weight, full stop.
